Background Information on Howden Medical Books

History

Howden Medical Books have been established for over 30 years. We were originally based in Sydney, and now work from offices in East Ballina in N.S.W and Mitcham in Victoria. The business was originally founded by Conrad Howden, hence our name, but he sold the business to David Leask some 28 years ago and the business has been in the Leask family ever since. David's son Tim is now at the helm, David has semi-retired and is enjoying his new role as "Professor Emeritus".

What do we do ?

Howden Medical Books has access to one of the broadest selection of medical texts and journals in Australasia. We provide texts to individuals, medical libraries, hospitals, research laboratories, universities and clinical practices. We supply books all around Australia and New Zealand. We pride ourselves on our personal service and our willingness to go the extra mile to help our customers.
